CyberNet World Fest Report

On August 27 - 28, two Konami Amusement of America staff attended the first CyberNet World Fest in Los Angeles, California. The event took place at UCLA, and was open to the public. The CyberNet World Fest was a festival designed to celebrate the 30 year anniversary of the internet, featuring all different forms of interactive entertainment. Outdoor exhibits included food and drink stands, arts and crafts, and a stage set up for different bands. Indoors, major exhibitors were Play Station, GoTo.com, ebay, Variety.com, Iwerks, PC Magazine, Mixx Entertainment, Raveworld, and Konami.

The attendance was around 8,000 and Konami's booth was constantly busy, and we received great response to our games. We showed the Bemani games "hiphopmania complete MIX", "Dance Dance Revolution", and "Guitar Freaks".

The show was covered by the local TV and newspapers, as well as a few other media representatives like Live Online, Interactive Week, and Yahoo Internet Life.

The organizers of CyberNet World Fest plan on taking the show around to different U.S. cities, including New York, Miami, and Houston.
